FAQ
How does HyperRing work?
HyperRing is a stylish piece of tech jewelry that lets you make contactless payments with ease. The ring has embedded NFC chips (similar to your normal contactless credit card), enabling you to pay at contactless POS terminals without needing your smartphone or wallet.
Is it safe to pay with HyperRing?
Yes! Our HyperRings are certified by Visa and MasterCard, and are therefore subject to the highest security standards. When you connect a payment card to your HyperRing, a reference of the card is created, the reference has a different card number. This technology is called tokenization, which is the same way that Apple Pay or Google Pay work.
How do I connect my payment card?
To set up your HyperRing, simply use the HyperRing Pay app to connect a payment card to your ring. Follow the instructions provided in the app.
For US customers: this would be a digital account we create for you with your ring purchase, which you can top-up using your preferred payment methods (credit card, debit card, PayPal, etc). We will provide your setup instructions via email.
For Europe & UK customers: you can request our partner Curve (www.curve.com) to issue you a digital payment card, then you can connect any of your cards to the Curve card. See our Curve setup page for more details. You can also check our list of supported banks to see if your existing payment card can be directly connected to HyperRing.
How do I pay with HyperRing?
Simply tap your HyperRing within 3cm of a NFC enabled contactless terminal to complete your transaction - the same way you use Apple Pay or Google Pay.
What happens if my ring gets lost or stolen?
No worries! All you need to do is block your HyperRing from making further payments. You can use the HyperRing Pay app (iOS and android) to remove a payment card from your ring.
